Things Have Been Changing

So it's a little bit later than tomorrow, but I'm going to admit I've been contemplating this post for a long time. And, even more I've been very unmotivated lately. In fact, I've found that there have been problems lately. And they all lead back to a Christmas present.

Lately I've been very tired. I could sleep ALL THE TIME! In fact, I have slept from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m once, and still felt as if I could sleep for days. I make sure to walk at work just so that I don't fall asleep.

In addition to this I am avoiding all chocolate. If you know me at all, you'll know this is weird. I felt bad, Weston gave me a box of chocolates over Christmas and I made him eat it all.
Despite this, the thing I LOVE is apples. Which is good, they're good for me. It makes me feel healthy. Even if I am also dipping them in salt and caramel. But in the last 3 days I've eaten about 6 apples. And don't get me started on tomato juice.
Another thing I've started doing is eating smaller portions. This sounds like it's got a lot more to do with New Years than it has Christmas right? Weston keeps complaining that I'm making him gain wait, as if that's possible (Pah!) because he gets to eat what I won't.
Along with apples I happen to eat a lot of these: For survival mostly.
So I stated that all of this stems down to a Christmas present. We gave it to our family. It stated:
This Christmas gift I must admit
Just isn't quite ready yet
But if you're patient you will find
Good things come to you in time
So wait now till August Ten
It will be DELIVERED around then
That's right, you guessed it.

A Year Of Change

2011 was most definitely a year of change.
January 2011:
I changed my job duties...well, more added onto the job duties I already had. DWS introduced a new program called Work Success. I'll admit, along with my coworkers, I was very skeptical about this new program. It's a 40 hr/wk Job Search Club for our Financial Participants, there are very specific guidelines and set ups and through it all, it has been amazing. I have gotten to meet some of the most amazing people, coaches from other areas and participants.
UPDATE: I forgot to mention, not only have I met amazing people in this position but I've gained some amazing stories. This has been a very successful program with a 48% participants leaving with employment throughout the ENTIRE state! That's amazing! And more successful than any other program that's been initiated. Of this percentage it only takes into account those that were in the program at the time of employment and the program only lasts 2-4 weeks.
Dennis, the WS Coach from St. George, this is a picture from Dec 2011 but I met him at the beginning of WS
I also went Snowboarding for the first--and most likely, last time, of my life. My back end still has not decided if it's forgiven me. However, Weston had a great time and we spent some quality time with Jerica and her adorable family.

February 2011:
Mostly what I remember about February is the stress and then enjoyment of Valentine's Day and the many dates that Weston & I enjoyed. Most of these pictures have already been displayed but one of the amazing things in February was the opportunity to go to a Jazz game. Part of that was eating at The Garden Restaurant in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.
The Jazz played The Chicago Bulls and we had really good seats thanks to Weston's work. (I think 7 rows up). It was also really cool because this ended up being Jerry Sloan's last game as he retired the next day. But the best part of the game was booing Carlos Boozer.
Also in February we traveled with my family on a long trip to Bryce Canyon for President's Day. We stopped in St. George at the temple and were hoping for warm weather but it was freezing instead. Then we traveled through Zion's National Park to get to Bryce Canyon. There we stayed at Ruby's Inn (which is an AWESOME place, just so you know).

March 2011
In March I got engaged. I don't want to say 'finally' because I've always been skeptical of quick relationships. While this was quick, it was also right, And I am very blessed to have an amazing husband who keeps me very happy. All the time. And in March I was so excited to plan a marriage with the man I knew by now I was fully in love with. And Weston had his 22nd Birthday.

April 2011
I actually don't remember a lot, my life was a blur with wedding planning, work, school and then helping my brother get ready. Braden was originally set to leave on his mission in March but there were some set backs so we were all assisting him and him assisting me with wedding planning. I think I had my Bridal Shower for my family and friends in April.

May 2011
May was a rush as well. We had our engagement pictures, my Bridal's, found out that Braden was going to leave on June 1st (my wedding was set for June 4th), Had Braden's Farewell, I went through the temple, and started to prepare for my impending wedding.
June 2011
This was psycho. Crazy.  BUT wonderful. On June 1 we took Braden up to the MTC where he became Elder Roberts.
He struggled at first but once he got out of the Mental Torture Chamber and into his actual mission he's been on fire. It's amazing how much he's changing and growing and to see how happy he is. I predict he won't want to come home.
June 2 & 3 were insane but led to the best day of my life so far. On June 4, 2011 I became Mrs. Sariah Hunt and began the biggest adventure of my life.
For our honeymoon we went to Disneyland, we were supposed to be there for 3 days but Disneyland in June just isn't that fun. And our hotel room stunk. (Don't stay at the Castle Inn) It was still a good time.

We then went to San Diego. First stop was the temple. Isn't it amazing? It's even more amazing on the inside.

\
After we got settled into San Diego, and fixed a flat tire (yeah, we bought 3 tires on our honeymoon and spent a total of about 4 hours in various Wal-Marts.) We went to the Mormon Battalion Museum in San Diego. It was AWESOME!
Then we went to Sea World. Again, amazing. I am excited to go again.

We took the extra long way home and stopped by the Grand Canyon
Then we stayed the night in Paige, AZ and stopped by Lake Powell
July 2011
There was much adjustment to marriage and I turned 22. We went to El Mexicano and celebrated with both parts of our family.

August 2011
Um...We went to The Little Mermaid in Tuachan. That was fun
Gunnison also brought a Movie Star home.
September 2011
School started for Weston
October 2011
We dealt with a VERY pregnant dog.
Then even more scary than the pregnant dog was her giving birth to SIX puppies! That was the scariest day of my life. See, Giselle's basically my little baby and I was all alone and she was crying. But she was a wonderful mom.
A week later the runt and one other puppy died. That was really hard for me and for Zel. It was hard to deal with but we had 4 healthy puppies and for that we were blessed.
I also went to the Capitol Building for the first time, as a work convention. It was amazingly beautiful and stately. And a great place for workshops.
This was also my first Halloween at work (every other year Halloween was on a weekend) so I dressed up as the Mad Hatter. And met up with a Hippy, Clark Kent, & a Sultan
November 2011
Thanksgiving and puppy raising was most of our worries but after Thanksgiving we went to Paige, AZ with the Hunt side and enjoyed an 80 mile (Read: Friggin LONG) 4 Wheeler Ride. We had a good time and were able to see some really fun views of Lake Powell.

 December 2011
We sold/found homes for all of the puppies. Cute aren't they?

We had Christmas. Got to speak with my little brother and then I surprised my whole family. But more on that to come...tomorrow.
