Our Perfect Day- June 4 2011 (Be prepared LONG but Pictures!)

So it's a little late but I want to talk about being married to most likely the best man EVER!
The week of our wedding was HECTIC! We took my little brother to the MTC the Wednesday before we got married. Talk about cry-fest! The two days before our wedding were frenzied, trying to get everything together AND trying to adjust to Braden being gone. I'll admit if there's a sore spot of my wedding it's those 2 days and his absence. I miss him soo much and it's only been 3 months! So onwards. The day before my wedding was the worst. I think it was the day that hit everybody. We were just realizing the Braden was gone and My family was trying to set up for the luncheon (we didn't do a reception in my hometown) and Weston's family was setting up the Open House for them.  That day my friend and old roommate Toni was officially my LIFE SAVER!
Seriously, I can't even imagine what my day would have been like without her. I'm fairly certain she saved lives. See, the luncheon we had a lot of people offer to come help set up and then things fell through, so we had my family setting up chairs and decor and needing to get ready for the Open House that night--along with a LOT of hormones. It really wasn't great. Toni came and took over with some of the decor. Then she helped me with the hopelessness that was my hair. AND when we got to the Open house the dress I was going to wear (I didn't want Weston seeing my wedding dress until our sealing) DIDN'T fit! It was miserable. It took 3 people to zip me in. I don't know if it was just PMS (add another thing that could go wrong on your wedding day!) or the extra layer or a combination of events. (Sometimes being female is NOT all it's cracked up to be) BUT the thing was not zipping up. (Luckily my wedding dress didn't do that!) So, by the time I actually GOT to the Open House I was on the rampage. Seriously, I think I told my mother and mother-in-law when they were going to comment about my being 20 minutes late (for my OWN Open House) that if they said anything they would either be obliterated or I would burst into tears and NOT to mess with me. Toni calmed me down a lot! And the Open House turned out MARVELOUS. Despite the problems. I wish I had pictures of the but I don't. It was very pretty though. They did a great job setting up! They had flower pots including a gorgeous hanging basket of purple petunias. And then we brought some of the decorations from the Open House. They served warm brownies with ice cream and hot fudge. And because of Toni and my 2 mothers I actually didn't look like I was homicidal. AND because of my now-husband I did look like a woman in love. I was so amazed with the support that I had there too! There were all the marvelous people I didn't know from Monroe AND I had a co-worker travel (and get lost) from St. George, my old boss from Cedar City surprised me and I was even more amazed with a wonderful family from Summit. I can't believe that they would travel almost 2 hours for an Open House. I felt very blessed.
My wedding day was FABULOUS! My mother-in-law came up and did my hair, I lazed a little bit and then we went and had a beautiful sealing. It was difficult choosing who to come to the sealing. Both Weston and I come from fairly large families. And knew we couldn't invite everyone. BUT it worked. Then we had pictures. All pictures are compliments of Jammie Hansen (www.jammiehansen.com)

Us coming out of the temple and being greeted by our family.

My adorable new niece. She's 4.
And my youngest new sister. She's now 6.
All of the people who greeted us at the temple
They couldn't decide if they wanted us to kiss or not. My favorite is the little girls closing their eyes.
 Weston's Grandpa and Grandma Rollins.
 My amazing! new family.

And a group of our good friends.

Her sister got married the same day--luckily the same place. And she was sweet and amazing enough to still come and see us.
Our 'best friends"...basically my other self, my college roommates (their spouses) and Weston's friend from High school, who recently returned from his mission--and still put his arm around Toni. *Suggestive eyebrow wiggle in their direction*
 Weston's best men.
The bitter sweet I-Only-Have-1-Brother to love on picture. He was a trooper for sure!
My other self and her Mom, who traveled all the way from Washington! Thanks Mom.
Now for the "Posing Cutesy Pictures.

My FAVORITE! Right behind us is where we got engaged.

The Sister who was getting married. We grew up with each other in Summit.

After pictures we went to our Luncheon. Since we didn't have a reception in my small town we did a larger than normal luncheon. Although, since we both have large families it would have been large anyway. It was great though, I got to spend my day with the people who were most important to us. Our best friends and family.
Our Arrival--20 minutes late by the way. I DID tell my Mom that she needed to set the time later.

And the cake. I told Weston the entire time we were planning the wedding that he HAD to be nice to me. BUT I still aked for a white cake instead of purple because I knew how it would end because even though I threatened, I do know my husband. And even more, I know myself.

Oh so corny, the thing is it wasn't posed. I just genuinely couldn't stop looking at him.

This is the moment I decided, cake on my dress or not, it's more fun to smear.
Of course he retaliated

I still want to thank everybody who was there. They have no idea how much it means to me. I know a lot of brides who stated that by this point it didn't matter to them who was there or who wasn't BUT I guess I'm different in the fact that it did matter. I was so grateful and do know that many people sacrificed to be there and it meant a lot to me to know that I had their support.
Our friends at Snow--they made me feel like an amazing big sister they're so cute and creative
My closest cousins--we are the terrible trio. We also all got engaged within 6 months of each other.

Daniel, he's a friend from High School and works with Weston

Weston's side of the Family--Hunt/Rollins/Rassmussen

The pavilion by the church house was a perfect picture spot

My side of the family--basically all McArthurs

Some of our best friends

Probably my closest friends, they've both gotten married this last year also, AS well as my Other Self's adorable niece

My favorite 6 & 4 year old girls!
This is one of my best friends from high school with her amazing hubby and adorable little girl. They traveled 4 hours to get here. She still even made it to my Bridal shower. Thanks Brit! It was so great to see you.
My new grandparents.

Then we were on our way! And I will say that I absolutely LOVED not having a reception that night. I mostly did it for the moula but I look back and thank my lucky stars that I decided not too. We were out of Sterling by 5:30. My car needed 2 new tires (yeah, we bought 3 new tires on our honeymoon >.<) So we spent an hour in Richfield WalMart getting new tires. (Actually ran into my cousins who were there because they thought the reception in Monroe was that night--kinda funny) We spent the night in the oh-so-romantic little town of Beaver. (Yeah, laugh it up.) Got there around 8:30. Had a nice dinner. And I wasn't grumpy. It really was my perfect day!
